Velasof tablet contains the active components Sofosbuvir and Velpatasvir.  It is used to treat chronic hepatitis C. Hepatitis C is a liver infection caused by the hepatitis C virus (HCV). The treatment duration is often shorter than older treatment regimens. The duration can vary depending on factors such as HCV genotype, previous treatment history, and the presence of liver cirrhosis. Successful treatment with Velasof tablet can significantly reduce liver inflammation and fibrosis caused by HCV infection. By achieving viral eradication, the risk of developing liver cirrhosis, liver failure, and hepatocellular carcinoma (a type of liver cancer) can be substantially reduced.

INTRODUCTION

CAPIIBINE 500MG TABLET contains Capecitabine which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-cancer medicines. It is used in the treatment of colon, rectal gastric and breast cancer.

CAPIIBINE 500MG TABLET is also used to prevent new occurrence of colon cancer after complete removal of the tumor by surgery.  It may be used either alone or in combination with other medicines.

CAPIIBINE 500MG TABLET is not recommended for use if you have severe liver, kidney disease or had severe reactions to fluoropyrimidine therapy (a group of anticancer medicines such as fluorouracil).

CAPIIBINE 500MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with liver, kidney disease, heart problems, brain disease or nerve damage, diabetes, history of eye problems. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

CAPIIBINE 500MG TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women, in children and adolescents. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

The most common side-effects of taking CAPIIBINE 500MG TABLET are abdominal pain, rash, dry or itchy skin, tiredness, loss of appetite. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsen.

Warnings

Both men and women using azacitidine should use effective birth control to prevent pregnancy. Azacitidine can harm an unborn baby if the mother or father is using this medicine.

You should not be treated with azacitidine injection if you are allergic to mannitol, or if you have advanced liver cancer.

Side Effects

 

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation, tiredness, dizziness, muscle/joint pain, or loss of appetite may occur. If any of these effects last or get worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

People using this medication may have serious side effects. However, you have been prescribed this drug because your doctor has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Careful monitoring by your doctor may decrease your risk.

Tell your doctor right away if you have any serious side effects, including: easy bleeding/bruising.

This medication may lower your ability to fight infections. This may make you more likely to get a serious (rarely fatal) infection or make any infection you have worse. Tell your doctor right away if you have any signs of infection (such as sore throat that doesn't go away, fever, chills, cough).

Azacitidine sometimes causes side effects due to the rapid destruction of cancer cells (tumor lysis syndrome). To lower your risk, your doctor may add a medication and tell you to drink plenty of fluids. Tell your doctor right away if you have symptoms such as: low back/side pain (flank pain), signs of kidney problems (such as painful urination, pink/bloody urine, change in the amount of urine), muscle spasms/weakness.

A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, get medical help right away if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.

It is also used for the prevention of new occurrences of cancer in the colon after the complete removal of the tumor by surgery. 

The common side effects that are likely to occur with this medicine are loss of appetite, headache, runny nose, fever, hair loss, and dry mouth. During the treatment, your doctor may periodically monitor your complete blood counts, prothrombin time, INR, to prevent serious complications.
